What is the best way to position chainmail armor plates?
I made a shirt of chainmail armor wire of about 700ft 14guage, and now I want to connect the plates to do if there is more protection. I tried putting a rivet through the plate, through the chain, with a washer on the other side with the rivet hole in it, but this fits the open-ring when the hammer the rivet closed. There is a better way?
