How I can start scrapbooking?
I have a lot of pictures that are sitting on the packages and I would start on the album cuts. How do I start? Should I buy one of those starter kits at Walmart?
you have to do is look in the phone book to local stores scrapbook. there is still no chain stores, however – Michael and Joan have some quality products, but you'll do best in a store notebook. when I worked in one that did a "kit" that's what Fiskar included a personal paper cutter (I still use mine) scissors cutterbee (Best for cutting paper) black writer a zig zig color two writers a tape dispenser (my favorite: http://www.perfectiondistributing.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc? Screen = PROD and PDI and Product_Code Store_Code = = = OWAPA Category_Code HD) … all those listed below, some of them have no papers and accessories topics and played like $ 5 off the price of the basics. the other basic things I would suggest is cardboard (paper patterend not) and some snaps – most people grommits loves too, but snaps are more profitable. some key things to remember when shopping – buy together. the modeling sense to buy paper, cardboard and accessories matching for a page or album at a time so you know everything matches. if you can not do this, be sure to bring a small piece of paper to match everything else. ensure that its products are acid free and lignin (this should not be a problem in a scrapbook store, but if you go elsewhere – as Joan Wal Mart or Michael or whatever). organize its first photos for you to know what you are looking when you go in do not be afraid of a product, especially in a warehouse scrapbook of the people who work there know how to use it – ask! usually will have the tool to show you how to use it (I always did). here are two very good online resources, especially for designs! http://www.simplescrapbooksmag.com/ http://www.twopeasinabucket.com this is a periodical (My favorite again) that can be purchased almost anywhere – yes, even Walmart for an album i would suggest post bound, since they are the easiest. belt hinge are a pain to switch pages and those binder rings tend to damage the pages. but I would not get the kits – especially Walmart. i received them as a gift from my in-laws and drove away, because it became the mess – I do not like the quality or the actual product
